Join us upstairs for a bite at Bone Lick Southern Kitchen before 5:30.
At 5:30 everyone will move to a private space, with a separate entrance to begin our evening, hanging out and interacting with the Dystopia Rising national event, Resurrection, live, taking place in PA.
This evening will feature characters, plots, live feeds from Resurrection, interactive puzzles and opportunities to make changes happen in PA.
No food will be served in the private area, however there will be a bartender on duty. Please plan to arrive early and eat in the main restaurant.
Character kit is optional ( but will be totally appropriate). No sheet, game mechanics or combat will take place but feel free to RP it.
Purchasing a non attending ticket to the national event would enhance your experience but it is not necessary. .
Current players, we have a special one time option of purchasing 2 additional build. $20 = 2 build. Yes, this stacks on top of National nonattending build and optional national build purchases!. - more detail on how to do that to come.
After 9:30, players are invited to go upstairs to the main restaurant, grab a bite and view the live feed from Resurrection of the big boss fight, and the consequences of choices made by the Wattsons, from your own devices via Twitch. Reserved tables will be available.
FAQ
Can I buy the optional build at the event? - Yes. Optional 2 build for $20 can be purchased when RSVPing or at the event. See one of the in characters hosts, the Darwin C.O.K.E representative, Francium “Franci” Rose to help you (Caryn).
Is costuming required? - Nope - but it sure would be fun! If you are a current player, you can dress as your character, or not. Anyone can come in post-apocalyptic attire whether you are, player, guest or the curious newbie that wants to come see what Dystopia Rising Georgia is about. You can choose not to dress genre at all if you don't feel like it. Do what is fun for you for this one.
What should we expect for Parking? - Street parking and ParkMobile lots are available.
Will food be served or food service available? - We are encouraging people to come early and eat in the main restaurant before we move to the private space at 5:30. Bone Lick deserves the business for being so LARP and nerd friendly folx.
There will be no ordering or food service available in the private space where the gathering will take place.
There will be bartender and cash/credit bar service.
Food can be ordered "to go" from the main restaurant bar and brought down to private space.
The entrance and exit to our space is from an outside entrance, separate from main restaurant. The door is kept locked at all times to prevent people off the street from entering the private space.
If you leave the space, say to order food to go from upstairs, this makes getting back in tricky.....but imo, leans into the story setting....if you leave the bunker/lab you need to arrange for a door guard to let you back in.
Can characters spend build to learn and use skills? - No. This is a non mechanic, "no sheet" and no database check in social for characters.
It is is a social that has the added bonus of having a light story plot, and being able to watch, interact and play along live with the Dystopia Rising nation event taking place in in Pennsylvania.
What is the National Event? - There is an event being held in Pennsylvania at the same time as this social. For the first time, and exclusively at this gathering, connecting and interactive plot elements will take place that will effect the national game in PA, live.

Do I get CAPS or Build points for bringing guests? - No CAPS or build points to characters sheets if bringing guests to this social. But bring them anyway! Introduce anyone who is curious about Dystopia Rising Feb 1. It is a free event that does not require character set up and a great way to introduce them to the community and the game (and show them what they wanted to know - What is this packing up foam weapons and going "camping" is all about?).
AND - if they like what they see = there are referral build awards for you if they come to a regular paid event.
1 build point for first event and another 1 build point for their 3rd event attended.
