40 Watt Local Societies

The Muscadines

A secretive society of wastelanders working together for the betterment of the family. Under direction of the boss, the Muscadines work to carve out their little slice of heaven. Members provide for the family and the family, in turn provides for them.

40 Watt Council

The 40 Watt Council is a group of 5 people who are voted on annually by the people of 40 Watt. With the Head Electrician as leader, they work to organize 40 Watt and maintain order. The Council acts as the freely elected organizational and governmental body of the larger 40 Watt populous.

The Workshop

The wastes have many separated communities, that are only now starting to be tied back together in Goergiabama by Red Bird Rail. To support their work, and to improve the ability of 40 Watt to provide materials for their local community, Artisans formed the Workshop. Focusing on skills in Artisan, Education, and Financial Connections, the Workshop wants to help the local community, and through Red Bird Rail the greater community, to grow. The Sister Financial Organization and Society by the same name are ubiqutious.

Free Souls

Natural Ones are social people; forming units, clans, and tribes. There are those who, through no fault of their own, no longer have a group to which they can belong. The Free Souls provide a new home for those who need it. The tribe works to improve the lives of its members, other natural ones, and 40 Watt as a whole through their inherent knowledge of the wastes. Though originally a group of natural ones, they accept any strain in need of a home.

cerberus society

The Cerberus society takes its namesake from an old pre-fall religion, adherent in its ways by applying its tenets of mentorship, protection and education like the vicious beast of myth that it mimics.
Existing to facilitate the introduction and nourishment of young criminals into the world the society operates to better the wastes through morally grey means.

Frogs

The Frogs work to seek out any newcomers to our corner of the wasteland and help them stay alive as long as possible. We provide supplies, brews, skills, and guidance to help develop anyone new to 40 Watt and help them achieve their goals. Although our focus is mainly on Blue Bulbs, we also help the 40 Watt community at large and try to "be the good we want to see in the wastes."

troop 421 b.p.o.e.

Troop 421 B.P.O.E. is made mostly of Red Stars, but The Troop will take in those who don't feel like they belong elsewhere, upon member consensus and agreement to serve the community and adopt Troop Ways.. They denote important identities, including gender and sexual orientation with swipes of color across the bridge of the nose. They tend to be skirmishers, scavengers, and crafters in order to serve the community. They identify these skills and stories with patches and trinkets worn on their uniforms. All pieces and color swipes are easily changeable, as the crew acknowledges that identities and stories are fluid.
